The rider killed in a motorcycle accident in Wood County overnight has been identified as Jamie Allen Pickerel of Toledo, Ohio.
Early on Tuesday morning in Middleton Township, a two-vehicle motorbike crash claimed the life of Pickerel, 47. The other implicated motorist has been named as Essence Myerholtz, 22, of Whitehouse, Ohio.
According to accounts, just after midnight on Tuesday, Pickerel was driving a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle on Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 187 in Bowling Green when the motorcycle collided with a passenger car driven by Myerholtz.
Pickerel was taken to a local hospital where he was later declared deceased after being ejected from the motorcycle after the crash.
If any, Myerholtz received no injuries.
At this time, no charges have been brought.
